Dry-hopping with Citra and Simcoe creates intense tropical and citrus aromas, while the strong malt bill produces an excellent balance with the hops for a smooth and lightly bitter finish.

Alterior Motive was the first IPA brewed at Alter and has since been a pillar of our year-round offerings since very near the beginning. Its classic West-coast reminiscent vibe harkens back to our early craft beer inspiration.
The placement of “Alter” in the name of this beer signifies that our only motive is our own: to produce the most enjoyable, highest quality beer possible… no matter what style.
