May Brewer’s Corner

Things are chugging along in the brewhouse as we gear-up for the summer months. We are even starting to think about FALL. Great googley moogley, where has this year gone?

WhoaXaca – Release is this Friday! We are excited about this beer because of its unique flavor profile of Mexican chiles, chocolate, and cinnamon. They blend swimmingly with the milk-stout base. In addition, we partnered with a wonderful artist to make the visuals on the outside look as cool as the ingredients on the inside. His name is Logan Schmitt, and his illustrations are ridiculous. You can see more of his work over on his website here.

It’s Lager Time – In keeping the lager train rolling, we just brewed Day Sipper – our German-style pilsner. Brewed with Pilsner malt, Munich malt, caramel malt, and German noble hops, this beer will be more suit and tie compared to Props American Lager. Expect it to be ready towards the beginning of June, both on draft and in cans. Following Day Sipper, we will be brewing our Fest Bier! That’s right, we are brewing an Octoberfest months ahead of fall so that it has as much maturation in the tank as possible (as is the German way).

Coming Thursday May 9th – Heavy Squeeze, our lemon tart inspired ale is nearly ready! This is one unique hazy fruit beer, brewed with a little bit of lactose for a creamy mouthfeel, and a whole lot of lemons for a nice punch of tart, fresh-squeezed citrus flavor.

On the Horizon? – There have been rumblings of brewing Dank You again as a small-batch release. We really miss not having a heavy-hitting double IPA on draft and think you might too. Stay tuned!

By the way, did you catch that Earth Day Alteration?  Buzz Me In was given bee pollen and lavender to give a floral and perfumey type aroma – as well as taste. Expect more and more of these R&D batches as the summer months come and go. We hope you enjoy it all!

Cheers!
