As an Executive Strategist for Alter Brewing Company Doug’s voice and influence spans ALL departments and strategic thought. With more than 30 years of real estate, design, and construction experience, he is primarily focused on creating spaces that are durable, useful, human-scaled, and remarkably attractive. Doug also works with Alter’s external and internal contributors and as an interviewer, project manager, and reliable sound board. No matter what hat he is wearing, Doug’s goal is simple – to empower Alter Brewing thought leaders to drive measurable results through careful planning and execution.
Throughout his career, Doug has collaborated with a wide range of professionals – from government agencies and architectural firms, to real estate brokers and developers. The results sprinkle through western Chicago suburbs in the form of unique in-fill subdivisions, one-off custom homes, and low-rise commercial projects. The skill sets align with Alter’s plan for multiple locations.
The good fortune of a local, loving family, including four granddaughters, and appreciation for hometown lifestyle, ensconce Doug and his wife Carol in their Wheaton home of 39 years. Doug and Carol frequently expand horizons chasing their bird dogs in far-flung wide open spaces.
