Bring your friends out for a beer and some brand new Laughs on Tap! Soak up the brewery vibes in our one of a kind barrel room while sipping on a fresh cold brew alongside a great new lineup of comedians. This month will be hosted by Kat Rybarski, and features Luke Schneider, Kelsie Huff, and Adam Burke.

Tickets can also be purchased in the taproom prior to the event. There may be a limited amount of tickets available at the door on the day of the show, but we recommend getting yours early.

Comedian Bios:

Kat Rybarski – Host

Our host has been performing stand up comedy since 2006 and has been making a name for herself at various clubs, bars, theaters, all over Chicago and the Chicagoland area. Since then Kat has performed at nationally recognized venues such as The Funnybone, Zanies, The Improv, and The Laugh Factory, as well as more local establishments, including The Comedy Shrine, Westside Improv, and Still Not Friday at Two Brothers Roundhouse. In October 2009, Kat completed the improv training program at the Second City Training Center in Chicago, and then continued through the Improv Olympic Training Center in Chicago, where she graduated in January 2011. Later that year, Kat was a top five finalist for “Best Local Comedian” through SuburbaNites Magazine. Recently Kat has opened for SNL’s Chris Redd, and has been a producer of the Still Not Friday Comedy Showcase at Two Brothers Roundhouse.

Luke Schneider

Luke Schneider writes satire on a bunch of sites across the internet, most notably Vulture.com. He performs stand up across the country in clubs, bars, basements and in such festivals as the Floodwater Comedy Festival and Gilda’s Laughfest. Luke has also opened for Kyle Kinane, Shane Mauss, Stewart Huff and his drunk roommate Brendan at Dimos on Milwaukee.

Oh and lastly, Schneider is apart of the group GoodNameVideos. It a real hoot and a half. You can check out some of their stuff here.

Kelsie Huff

Kelsie Huff is a Columbia College Chicago graduate turned stand-up and storyteller. Kelsie performs at clubs all around the Midwest, as well as comedy and fringe festivals around the country. She is a regular guest on WCIU’s The Jam, and ABC’s Windy City LIVE. Huff has written four solo shows, is a short film and web series producer, screenwriter and voice over actor. the kates are an all female comedy showcase that provides an intimate night of comedy different from anything you’ll see at a typical Chicago club or late night bar. the kates mission: To showcase talented and hilarious female identified performers by creating inclusive and positive environments; which encourages artists to express their comic point of view in unique and non-apologetic ways – proving that women are equal in the eyes of comedy.

the kates university includes adult storytelling and stand-up classes, all female stand-up classes, corporate comedy workshops, college comedy intensives and youth outreach programs. the kates university is the first step in YOUR comedy revolution. the kates university classes are taught by Kelsie Huff.

Adam Burke

Originally from the UK (by way of Australia…long story), Adam Burke has been performing comedy in Chicago and throughout the U.S. for almost ten years. He’s a fixture on showcases and clubs throughout the Midwest and beyond. He is a regular panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, and has appeared on the podcasts Doug Loves Movies and The Benson Interruptionthe Bob and Tom show, WGN 720 AM radio, Put Your Hands Together, and many more podcasts and shows. Voted Best Standup by readers of The Chicago Reader in 2014, he was also the winner of Second City’s Up Next Comedy Competition. He appeared at numerous festivals including Bridgetown Comedy Portland OR, Just for Laughs Chicago (four years running), and the local stage of Funny Or Die’s Oddball Comedy Festival. In addition, he has opened for a wide variety of comedians including Marc Maron, Jeff Ross, Hannibal Burress, John Mulaney, Hari Kondabolu, Maria Bamford, Michael Ian Black, Kumail Nanjiani, John Oliver, Tracy Morgan, Aziz Ansari, and many more. Burke released his debut album Universal Squirrel Theory on A Special Thing Records in 2012.
