The laughs return to Alter on November 21st! I mean we’re always funny, but this time you can soak up the brewery vibes in our one of a kind barrel room while sipping on a fresh, cold brew alongside an amazing new lineup of comedians. This month will be hosted by Kat Rybarski, and features Samantha Berkman, Sammy Arechar, and Andy Woodhull. Bring your friends out for a beer and some brand new Laughs on Tap!

Tickets can also be purchased in the taproom prior to the event. There may be a limited amount of tickets available at the door on the day of the show, but we recommend getting yours early.

Samantha is a Chicago-based stand up comedian and writer for The A.V. Club TV Show on Fusion. Her weekly stand-up showcase, CAMP: A Comedy Show, was recently featured in Chicago Magazine, Time Out Chicago, and Vulture. She is the newest producer of We Still Like You, a shame-based storytelling show with branches in Los Angeles, Denver, and Louisville. Most importantly, she knows all the secrets in Super Mario World.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Sammy Arechar is an accomplished poet, a prolific wedding DJ, and a stand-up comedian. Sammy has been called a “Funny Human” by BrightestYoungThings and a comic to watch by Time Out Chicago. His sense of humor and his stage presence that’s often described as “personified chicken salad” has landed him gigs performing at such venues as the Steppenwolf Theatre, The Barrymore Theatre, and the Pabst Theater; along with festivals such as the NBCUniversal & Second City’s Break Out Fest, The 3rd Annual 26th Annual AV Club & Onion Comedy Festival, RIOT LA, Bridgetown, High Plains Comedy Festival, the 2014 Comedy Exposition of Chicago, and the Limestone Comedy Festival. Arechar has also been featured on MTV’s Wonderland.
Andy Recently appeared The Late Late Show with James Corden. He has also appeared on Conan. He has a half hour special on Comedy Central. In 2014 he was the first comedian to make his network television debut on the Tonight Show: Staring Jimmy Fallon. In 2009 he appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham.
Andy has appeared at many comedy festivals and contests including, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, The Maui Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, and The Great American Comedy Festival. He has been featured on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom radio show, and was a semi-finalist in CMT’s “Next Big Comic”. He won the Best of the Midwest Competition at Gilda’s Laugh Fest in 2010. He has 4 comedy albums all in rotation on Pandora, and Sirius Satellite Radio.
Andy is a resident of Chicago, where he was named one of four comedians to watch by the Chicago Tribune.
Kat Rybarski – Host
Our host has been performing stand up comedy since 2006 and has been making a name for herself at various clubs, bars, theaters, all over Chicago and the Chicagoland area. Since then Kat has performed at nationally recognized venues such as The Funnybone, Zanies, The Improv, and The Laugh Factory, as well as more local establishments, including The Comedy Shrine, Westside Improv, and Still Not Friday at Two Brothers Roundhouse. In October 2009, Kat completed the improv training program at the Second City Training Center in Chicago, and then continued through the Improv Olympic Training Center in Chicago, where she graduated in January 2011. Later that year, Kat was a top five finalist for “Best Local Comedian” through SuburbaNites Magazine. Recently Kat has opened for SNL’s Chris Redd, and has been a producer of the Still Not Friday Comedy Showcase at Two Brothers Roundhouse.
