Comedian Bios:

Kat Rybarski (our host) has been performing stand up comedy since 2006 and has been making a name for herself at various clubs, bars, theaters, all over Chicago and the Chicagoland area. Since then Kat has performed at nationally recognized venues such as The Funnybone, Zanies, The Improv, and The Laugh Factory, as well as more local establishments, including The Comedy Shrine, Westside Improv, and Still Not Friday at Two Brothers Roundhouse. In October 2009, Kat completed the improv training program at the Second City Training Center in Chicago, and then continued through the Improv Olympic Training Center in Chicago, where she graduated in January 2011. Later that year, Kat was a top five finalist for “Best Local Comedian” through SuburbaNites Magazine. Recently Kat has opened for SNL’s Chris Redd, and has been a producer of the Still Not Friday Comedy Showcase at Two Brothers Roundhouse.

Katie Meiners is a stand-up comic who performs at The Improv, Zanies, The Comedy Shrine and beyond. She’s a graduate of The Second City Chicago’s Comedy Writing Program and of The University of Michigan and was named first runner-up in a wildly contentious Melon Queen Pageant in the mid-2000s. Katie produces Chicago’s Finest Stand-Up in Glenview, Illinois, and is the host of The Quatro Comedy Show, an improvised night of comedy in downtown Wheaton. She enjoys reading to kids, line-dancing and onions. In her free time, she commutes.

Matt Drufke has been performing comedy all over the midwest since 2008, opening for comedians such as Hannibal Buress and Nick DiPaolo. He’s performed on ABC’s “Windy City Live” and currently is the producer of Still Not Friday, which happens every Thursday night in Aurora. You can find him on twitter @ihatemattdrufke.

Joe Fernandez is a half-Cuban half-Irish (or Cubish) comedian and actor. Growing up in Texas he had an affinity for the sport of baseball and dreamed of one day playing for the Houston Astros. When his body didn’t grow up with his dreams, he moved to the performing arts where muscles aren’t necessary. Joe has been performing stand-up comedy over the past 10 years where he’s taken his off-stage persona of intolerable presence and morphed it into his on-stage persona of lovable jerk. He satirizes through absurdity and is facetious to a fault. He has performed in numerous comedy festivals such as Chicago TBS Just For Laughs Fest, the Boston Comedy Fest, the Memphis Comedy fest, Chicago Sketchfest and he was a finalist for the Andy Kaufman Award. He’s a regular on the Chicago comedy scene having featured at Zanies, Laugh Factory, Comedy Bar, and the Improv Schaumburg. If you’re not in the same area as Joe, you can always hear him on his podcast 30 Characters or follow him at joefernandezcomedy.com to see when he’s coming to your town!
